Tub to Shower and Shower to Closet Conversion.

Here's a project I had forgotten to post. This customer had a soaking bathtub that they rarely used and a small shower in their master bathroom. The bathtub was converted to a shower and the small shower was converted to a large closet. The tiles for the shower walls are 12 in. x 24 in., the back wall and niche have a marble decorative tile, as an insert, on a mesh, in the herringbone pattern. The niche has the Schluter Rondec Brushed Nickel metal tile trim and if you can zoom in on the wall tile it has been finished along the horizontal and vertical sides with the Schluter Rondec PVC Bright White tile trim. The shower floor tile is a 2 in. x 2 in. tile on a mesh. All of the tile and Schluter tile trims is from Floor & Decor. The new shower water control valve is the Moen Attract/MAGNETIX. A buttress wall was framed and tiled for this shower. Two grab bars were installed on the shower walls. The closet walls and shelves were custom made with Melamine panels which is in stock at some of the Home Depot locations. Thermally fused melamine board provides a more durable surface for heavy use applications, more stain and scratch resistant than vinyl, paper overlay or painted (MDF) shelving. The last 3 photos show the bathroom before we started the project. The customer will have a frameless custom glass enclosure installed.
