Orlando Bathrooms LLC is looking for a good and dependable Handyman in the Orlando area. Our company specializes in residential bathroom remodeling. The preferred candidate will be able to work on their own the majority of the time with minimal supervision after an initial training period. You may have all or just some of the following qualifications and then we would train you as needed as you work for our company.
Responsibilities and Duties
Removing old tiled wall boards around showers and bathtubs and installing moisture resistant wall boards, leaving the walls ready for tile installation.
Framing bathtub/shower niches on walls.
Removing shower floors .
Removing and installing drywall.
Removing and installing divider walls in bathrooms.
Installing standard shower and bathtub sliding glass doors, toilets, vanities, vanity tops, faucets, vanity mirrors, vanity lights, exhaust fans and bathroom fixtures.
Prepping bathroom walls and painting.
Installing wood baseboards.
Installing pocket doors and regular doors in bathrooms.
Removing tile floors and the thinset and disposing of garbage at the landfill.
Assist the tile installers when tile jobs are running behind schedule, and whatever else the company needs done that is required to complete a job.
Smoking is not permitted on the job sites. You must have a good demeanor since you would be meeting with and working for residential customers most of the time. You must be able to follow directions and get along with other workers as required.
Normal work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm. You must be consistently available to work these hours in order to qualify for this job so we can maintain our work schedule.
We are looking for people that would like to work as a team to get the projects done correctly and on time and in return you can have paid time off (personal/vacation/holidays).
Qualifications and Skills
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 consecutive years experience in the above installations with a focus on residential work.
This is an hourly paid job. The pay range is from $15 to $25 per hour. The pay is based on the experience the installer has. Paid Vacation, Personal Days and Holiday Pay is also included.
Paid time off will consist of the following:
1) (If they fall on a work day); New Year's Day (Dec. 31 & Jan. 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.
2) 1 week per year of personal time off which starts to accrue after 3 months of employment.
3) 1 week per year of paid vacation at the end of December which starts to accrue after 6 months of employment.
