This is an older home where the walls are made out of plaster and lathing. The tiled walls have concrete behind them and it's all held by wire lathing. It's amazing to me still after so many years of doing remodeling how talented these people were back in the day when the plaster walls and the concrete installed over the wire lathing was all done by hand. Removing all of this is obviously much harder than the drywall system of today. Also the drainpipes were made of cast iron instead of PVC. In this project we added a false ceiling in the shower so we could bring in air condition duct work thru that false ceiling and into the bathroom and the light over the shower was brought down and a recessed light was installed. We moved the toilet drainpipe in order for the toilet to face forward when you walk in and further back towards the wall so there's more room in the bathroom and also the toilet water line was moved from the floor to come out from the wall behind the toilet. The light switch was moved to the right wall instead of the left. A new shower water mixer/diverter was installed and the shower drain was replaced. A niche was framed out on the wall opposite of the shower head wall. If you'll notice the vanity has the faucet on the side making the vanity not as deep in order to have more walking space in the bathroom. The customer will paint the walls and install the vanity mirror. The last of the before pictures were sent to me by the customer. He is a professional photographer. Thank you Tony.
