This customer converted their bathtub to a shower. The customer was handy so they removed everything from the bathroom, moved and installed a new diverter to the opposite side of the wall, installed a shower head on the ceiling and also installed his vanity and toilet. When we came in we changed the bathtub drain to a shower drain, framed out a niche, installed a shower curb and pre pitched the concrete to the drain before installing the liner. We installed a new liner, Durock on the walls in the shower, repaired and prepped for paint the walls closest to the shower, Installed RedGard moisture barrier on the Durock wall boards, installed the concrete on the shower floor and pitched it to the drain and finally we installed all the tile. The customer will paint the walls after we're done. This is a very inexpensive tile from Home Depot and as you can see it came out fantastic by adding the mosaic accents running horizontal and into the niche. A custom shower door was installed.
